Or use the tracking code to insert the code in your website manually.

Pretty easy, right?

I will have my next blog post on how to integrate your Google Analytics into your website. Keep in touch

Integrating Google Analytics In Your Website

In the above blog, I mentioned How To Setup Google Analytics; now, I will continue integrating Google Analytics into your website once you have successfully set up your account. After creating your account and set up all the details for your website in Analytics. You must integrate or add your Tracking ID or Tracking code to your website to have it working. If you do not do this, then tracking your website traffic using Google Analytics won’t work, and you fail to know who is visiting your site and where they are coming from.

Remember that it is essential because it has so many uses for you and your website. You can use it also to outline the strategies to use to drive more traffic or do SEO.

Two Options How To Integrate.

So I have 2 options to show you how to integrate Google Analytics into your website. The first one is to manually add the tracking code to the inner part of your website. Then the other one is by using a WordPress plugin.

1. Adding The Tracking Code Manually

In your Analytics Dashboard account, select the website that you want to add the Tracking Code. It must look like this.

Copy the code found under the “Tracking Info” page and insert it on your website.

  1. Log in to your WordPress Dashboard.
  2. Go to “Appearance.”
  3. Click “Editor.”

If you have noticed in your Google Analytics that we have this:

Please copy the following code, then paste it on every page you want to track immediately before the closing tag.

So that’s what we are going to do.

4. Under the “Templates” on the right side, click the “Header.”

5. Find the tag by using Ctrl. F and insert the code.

6. Integrating the Tracking ID using WordPress Plugins

The 2nd option we’re going to use a plugin called Google Analytics. Simply log in to your WordPress Dashboard and go to plugins.

  1. Once in the plugins area, click add new and search Google Analytics, or you can download it here -> http://wordpress. org/extend/plugins/google analytics/.
  2. Activate the plugin; you prompt if you are sure they have the plugin (remember to backup always your website if you’re going to try a new extension or plugin). Click “Yes.”
  3. Once the plugin is activated, go to the “Settings” page and find Google Analytics.
  4. Go to your Google Analytics account and copy your “Web Property ID,” and paste it on the Google Analytics settings page, click Save.

Always track the status of your Google Analytics to make sure that you successfully integrated the code into your website. It takes a couple of hours to be effective.
