Google Drive App Updated Features for Android & iOS
The company has rolled out the new update for both Android and iOS users. The re-run recent searches will be so helpful that you don’t need to repeatedly type in something you have already searched for. Likewise, you can save time. You might have seen this while searching on Google; once you have searched for anything, you can get it by typing one letter of that word.
The latest version of the Google Drive App gives,
- See and re-run the desktop or mobile’s recent searches.
- You can view and select the suggestions as you type like you will see suggestions for people, keywords, past searches, and recently accessed files.
The search giant Google said, looking for Google Drive files quickly on your phone will be helpful as you can review, share, collaborate, and create from wherever you are.
In a blog post, Google wrote,
“With changes in working patterns due to COVID-19, more people need to get work done even when they’re away from their desk.”
If you want to use these features, then you need to have the latest version of Google Drive on your device. In order to use the feature, you need to enable the “Web and App Activity”. When you enable this option, all your activities on Google sites and apps will be saved.
You can search for the files in the app by searching for the title, file contents, items in pictures, PDFs, or other files.
These new updated app features will be available in the plans like Google Workspace Essentials, Business Starter, Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, and more.
