The most popular video streaming platform, Netflix, is offering a free subscription for two days. Recently, Netflix has announced StreamFest, where all the non-subscribers can get access to all the content available on Netflix for free.
Netflix India Announced Free Subscription for 2 Days
This means anyone can watch any show, movie, series which is available on Netflix. The user will not even be asked to enter card details or to buy the subscription plan. The offer will be starting from 5th December to 6th December. Earlier, in October, the company has announced that the users will get free Netflix in India.
In a blog, the vice president of Netflix India, Monika Shergill, said,
“…we’re hosting StreamFest: an entire weekend (December 5, 12.01 am to December 6, 11.59 pm) — of free Netflix. So, anyone in India can watch all the blockbuster films, the biggest series, award-winning documentaries, and entertaining reality shows for two whole days”.
How to get Free Netflix in India?
At the time of Streamfest, this offer will go live in India on December 5 at 12:00 AM. All of the users should register for the streamfest. Only registered users will be able to browse the content on Netflix.
To avail this offer, you need to follow some steps given below:
- You will be asked to enter the name.
- Enter the Email address and create a password
Only these three things will be asked. It won’t ask for any card details. So, be ready if you are a non-subscriber, to prevail the offer.
The vice president of Netflix India has also said, once you enter the details for login, no other person can use the same login details to stream online. You can sign up on your Android device or in a browser and then can use the same login details on a smart TV, or a gaming console, or an iOS device.
According to Netflix, this offer will be available for a limited number of users. Which means, not all the users will get a chance to use Netflix for free. However, the exact figure is not yet announced by Netflix.
Streamfest in India is being tested, and on talking about it, the COO of Netflix, Greg Peters, said,
“An idea we’re excited about — and we’ll see how it goes, we think that giving everyone in country access to Netflix for free for a weekend could be a great way to expose a bunch of new people to the amazing stories that we have. Really creating an event, and hopefully, get a bunch of those folks to sign up.”
At present, Netflix is the most popular online video streaming app in India. It is a great competitor to other platforms like Zee5, ALT Balaji, Voot, Amazon Prime, and Hotstar.
