At an event by Apple ‘One More Thing,’ Apple has announced three new devices. Apple has launched Macbook Pro, Macbook Air, and Mac Mini. And these devices will be powered by Apple’s own processor M1 SoC.
Price and Specifications of MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Mac Mini
Earlier this year, Apple has announced that it will start transitioning all the Mac Product lines to ARM-based processors. For the past 15 years, they have been using Intel X86 CPUs. However, the new generation of Apple’s MacBook Air, Macbook Pro, and Mac Mini will have Apple M1, which has eight cores, custom integrated GPU, Secure Enclave, Neural Engine, and image signal processor.
Details of MacBook Pro
MacBook Pro will have a display of 13-inch, and the starting price of 256GB storage is Rs. 1,22,900. And for the 512GB Storage, the price is Rs.1,42,900. The price of the MacBook Pro is the same as MacBook Pro’s previous models. Both versions have 8GB of unified memory. The storage can be increased to 16GB RAM and up to 2TB.
MacBook Pro will be available in India from today, and everyone can pre-order it from Apple’s India website. The laptop has Magic Keyboard with a Touch ID sensor and a Touch Bar on top.
MacBook Air
MacBook Air is having two variants, from which one is of 512GB storage with Apple M1 with 8-Core CPU and 8-Core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine. And the other is of 256GB Storage with an M1 chip with 8‑core CPU, 7‑core GPU, and 16‑core Neural Engine.
Both the devices have 8GB of RAM and a 13-inch display, just like MacBook Pro. It will come with Magic Keyboard, Touch ID, Force Touch trackpad, and 4 USB ports. The price of MacBook Air starts at Rs 92,900 for the 256GB variant and Rs 83,610 for the 512GB model. There are three color options available Silver, Space Grey, and Gold.
The new MacBook Air is fanless and runs silently. With wireless web browsing, you can use up to 15 hours and video playback of 18 hours.
Mac Mini
Mac Mini is also available in two variants 256GB and 512GB. The price in India is Rs.64,900 and Rs. 84,900 respectively. You can pre-order it on the apple.com website as the devices are available in India for Pre-orders. However, Mac Mini has only one color, Silver; there is no other color available. In terms of CPU performance, it is now 3X faster than the previous version.
All the new Macs have got 8GB RAM by default, and it can be expanded up to 16GB if you pay Rs.20,000 extra when you purchase. So, if you want to buy, you can visit the Apple India website and pre-order your device, and the shipping date is November 25, which is not too late.
