Another 15 Chinese apps have been added to the banned list in India. The Government bans Chinese apps like CapCut, AirBrush, and other apps. In last month, 47 Chinese apps were banned, including TikTok, Helo, Xender and others. Then other remaining apps, like Lite and Pro versions of the app, were banned.
15 Chinese Apps Banned in India by the Government
According to the latest reports, 15 new apps are banned. The new apps which are included in the list are the photo editor app AirBrush, Meipai and a camera app BoXxCAM. All these apps are owned by China’s Meitu company which also makes smartphones.
The latest list was issued about 10 days ago, the new apps which are blocked are Email service NetEase, gaming app Heroes War and a SlidePlus app. The Mi Browser Pro by Xiaomi is also blocked. Baidu Search and Search Lite is also banned.
The senior officer said,
“We will take a call on further action if any of the apps try to come back with different names.”
Last month in July, 47 apps were banned and were removed from the Play Store and App Store. The companies of the apps have submitted their response to the government and are waiting for the process.
More than 275 Chinese apps are claimed for alleged violation of the security of the users. The list which was announced includes apps like PUBG, AliExpress, ByteDance’s Resso, ULike, Ludo World, and Zili.
First, 52 Chinese apps were banned, including TikTok, Xender, and others which were so popular.
